Orchid
Category: wonder-reflection
My lover is an orchid Elegant, vermillion column She opens slow, aching, deliberate All velvet threat and honeyed tongue
The dew drop glistens on her petals Fragile, strong, anew She sways with the breeze of my whisper And blooms at the sound of you
She flinches under my finger Her pretty orchid bloom I pluck the trembling stem with reverence And mouth my prayers into the room
She melts beneath my greedy touch Her petals open wide She tastes like summer's final storm A heat I cannot hide
My tongue demands her sweetest sap Like liqour in my feins She writhes beneath my worshipping mouth And softly sings my name
